Guide
A conversation works best when it has somewhere to go. This guide collects what regular readers of Irisda have found useful, from the first message to a story that runs across several evenings.
1. Open with one detail
Skip the introductions. A greeting plus one specific thing about your day gives a companion something real to hold: the weather on your walk, a song stuck in your head, a plan you keep postponing.
2. Say what you are in the mood for
Tone follows your lead. Ask for something light and funny, something slow and reflective, or a story you continue tomorrow, and the reply arrives in that register.
3. Let the thread build
Recurring names, places and plans come back naturally. Mentioning the same detail twice is usually all it takes for it to become part of the conversation.
4. Change direction whenever you like
There is no wrong turn. Saying that you would rather talk about something else is enough, and no explanation is expected.
5. Try more than one voice
Companions differ more than their portraits suggest. A quiet evening and a lively one often call for two different conversations, and each one stays separate.
6. Keep private details private
Passwords, payment details and identity documents have no place in a chat. Everything Irisda needs for a good conversation is ordinary, everyday talk.
